In-Home Medical & Grooming Care
My in-home Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) services are designed to bring skilled, compassionate care directly to your pet—right where they feel safest. This service is ideal for anxious, fearful, or nervous pets, multi-pet households, pets with mobility challenges, those who are difficult to transport, and senior owners who may not have reliable access to transportation.
By providing care in the comfort of your home, I’m able to minimize stress while offering a calm, fear-free and force-free experience tailored to each individual pet’s needs.
Services include routine grooming care such as nail trimming, anal gland expressions, ear cleaning, sanitary shaving, and light grooming support, as well as select medical services including subcutaneous fluid therapy, medication administration, monitoring, and educational consults to support ongoing at-home care.
In addition to hands-on care, I also offer pet transportation to veterinary or grooming appointments, as well as prescription food and medication delivery—helping reduce the logistical stress that often comes with managing your pet’s health.
Every visit is approached with patience, professionalism, and a deep understanding of both the medical and emotional needs of pets, ensuring your companion receives high-quality care in a familiar, low-stress environment.
Elle is fabulous. My senior rescue cat that doesn’t allow anyone including myself, to do much more than scratcher between the ears turns into a cat that I don’t recognize around Elle. My cat sits nice, allows Elle to hold and carry her and becomes the most passive docile friendly creature. Highly, highly recommend Elle.

Elle is such a lovely person, read my dog's body language so beautifully, so receptive to accomadation requests for my cautious cutie. They are so well informed in ways to reduce discomfort/stress. What a rare gem to have a registered vet tech with an interest and experience in handling sensitive dogs come to the home to provide care! Highly recommend :)

Frequently Asked Questions
What pets are best suited for in-home RVT services?
In-home care is ideal for anxious, fearful, reactive, or nervous pets, multi-pet households, pets with mobility limitations, and those who find car travel or clinic visits stressful. This service is also well suited for senior owners or anyone without reliable transportation.
Do I need a veterinarian’s approval for medical services?
Some medical services, such as subcutaneous fluid therapy or certain medication administration, may require prior veterinary approval or an existing veterinary-client-patient relationship (VCPR). I will let you know what documentation is required before booking.
What services can be done in my home?
I offer a variety of routine grooming and medical support services, including nail trims, anal gland expressions, ear cleaning, sanitary shaving, medication administration, subcutaneous fluid therapy, and educational consults. Services are tailored to your pet’s comfort level and medical needs.
What if my pet becomes too stressed during the visit?
Your pet’s wellbeing always comes first. If a pet shows signs of excessive stress, we may modify the service, break it into shorter visits, or discontinue the session. In some cases, I may recommend discussing pharmaceutical support or alternative options with your veterinarian.
Do you use a fear-free or force-free approach?
Yes. All in-home services are provided using a fear-free, force-free approach. This means prioritizing your pet’s emotional wellbeing, using low-stress handling techniques, allowing breaks when needed, and adjusting or stopping services if a pet becomes too stressed.
What areas do you service?
Relief dog walking services, including solo and off-leash group adventures are available for clients in the TriCities and immediate surrounding areas (Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Anmore and Belcarra).
Do you work with reactive or difficult pets?
Yes. I specialize in working with pets who are anxious, fearful, or reactive. That said, safety is a priority for both pets and humans. I assess each situation individually and will always be transparent about what can be done safely and comfortably.
Can you provide full veterinary care or diagnose my pet?
No. As a Registered Veterinary Technologist, I do not diagnose conditions or replace veterinary care. My role is to support your pet’s health through approved treatments, routine care, monitoring, and client education, often in collaboration with your veterinarian.
How should I prepare for an in-home visit?
A quiet, well-lit space with minimal distractions is ideal. For grooming or medical services, I may ask that pets are not fed immediately beforehand or that certain supplies are available. Specific instructions will be provided prior to your appointment.
Do you provide full grooming services?
No. I am a Registered Veterinary Technologist, not a professional groomer. I provide basic, comfort-focused grooming and hygiene services and cannot guarantee appearance or offer stylized or breed-standard grooming. All services are performed using a fear-free, force-free approach and are guided by your pet’s comfort and tolerance.
